ikeja Wireless is looking for RF technicians to join our team, as we embark on the expansion of our network throughout South Africa.

The role
We are seeking technicians who are looking to gain experience in the telecommunications space, more specifically through being involved in serving our customers by carrying out the maintenance of our wireless internet services
The Wireless Maintenance Technician role demands that you be proactive, resourceful, hands-on, highly responsible, and able to take initiative.
Responsibilities of the role (not limited to but including):
Installations & Maintenance
- Relocation of wireless services
- Remounting poles
- Reprogramming and replacing hardware
- Uninstalls and loco work
- Fault finding and troubleshooting
Team Foreman
- Organise and oversee your team
- Oversee your team’s job cards
- Responsible and accountable for your team’s tools
- Liase with the Team Manager as a touch point for the team
- Liaise with Customers
- Liase with Customer Support regarding scheduling
- Collect install fee/sign up fee via cash, or yoco device
- Handle cash/facilitate yoco payment from installs and relocations and ensure it is handed over accordingly
- Provide customers with invoices from relevant office department if so required
- Assist the Team Manager with inspection of vehicles
Requirements:
- Background in cabling installations (Wireless, CCTV, DSTV etc)
- Ability to use a variety of tools including drills, ratchets, hammers, allen keys, crimping tools
Bonus points:
- Have a valid Drivers License
- You live in one of the communities that ikeja serves
- Experience leading a small team
